Arundel Castle Classic Cars
Primary tabs
On Sunday 12th July, 2015 by kind permission of His Grace the Duke of Norfolk, Arundel Castle will host a meeting of the regions classic cars. This fabulous Castle has been home to the Earls of Arundel and Dukes of Norfolk for more than 800 years and although used for the MG Owners Club gathering in April this is a wonderful opportunity for owners of all Classic or Super-cars to display their vehicles at this stunning icon of West Sussex history. Classic vehicles and Super-cars will be allowed entry to the Lower Lawns of the Castle grounds from 8.30am until midday on the Sunday morning although normal opening hours will operate for visitors. Vehicle entry and exit to the Castle grounds will not be permitted between 12 and 4pm so drivers need to arrive in good time.
Apart from providing a grand spectacle, with special vehicles from all around the district, the event will also be supporting local charity as the Arundel Group of the Riding for the Disabled Association has been chosen as an event partner. This group meets every Tuesday afternoon during term time at the Arundel Riding Centre, to provide horse riding for less able children and adults who would otherwise be unable to benefit from the therapeutic effects of this sport. www.arundelrda.org.uk
If you would like to attend this event please contact Chrissie Brown on [email protected] with details of your car, your name and contact details. You will be required to pay £8 per person on the day. Please note pre-1985 cars only unless otherwise agreed with the castle.
