Last year, SADCASES met with members of the Southdowns Gliding Club at Parham Airfield, for a convivial afternoon under clear blue skies.
SADCASE Gliders and Classics 2015
On Sunday the 7th June, the Southdowns Gliding Club kindly hosted a “Gliders and Classic Cars” get together with The Storrington and District Classic and Sportscar Enthusiasts (SADCASE), at their Parham airfield. SADCASE took along some forty cars with many famous marques represented, including a Lamborghini Diablo Italian supercar and a 1960’s Ford Thunderbird from the other side of the Atlantic.
The airfield is in a particularly scenic setting and with the sun shining, a pleasant and relaxing afternoon was had by everyone. SADCASE members were astounded by the distances that some of their opposite numbers in the Southdowns Gliding Club could travel without an engine! During the day, at least two gliders flew from Parham well into the north of England and back without stopping. Verdict, we will certainly do it again next summer.
