Take a step back in time and experience the nostalgic sights and sounds of an era when steam and world class engineering powered the country!

Visitors to the Museum’s Vintage & Steam show will enjoy all the bustle and excitement of a traditional Steam Festival on 18 and 19 August, with steam engines on display and working around our 40-acre site in the South Downs National Park.

Children aged 0-17 years enter this event free!

WHAT’S ON
On the weekend of 18 and 19 August visitors to the Weald & Downland Living Museum in Singleton, near Chichester, can enjoy viewing a fantastic range of steam engines and vehicles. Ride on a traditional steam-driven carrousel, dine on delicious food and drink in the food village, and listen to vintage music at the Museum’s stunning 40-acre site in the South Downs National Park.

A wide range of vehicles will be exhibited including: commercial and military vehicles, miniature steam engines, a narrow gauge railway display, model boats on the mill pond, Gauge One Group display in the Downland Gridshell building, a range of classic and vintage cars, and a large display of classic and vintage motorcycles.

Arena displays will take place during the day and traditional fairground organs will be playing.

On Saturday 18th the Solent MG Club and Morgan Owners’ Club will be located in the Event Field and on Sunday 19th the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club, Portsmouth Region, will hold its annual club event at the show.
