SADCASE Storrington Vehicle Show

The organisation of this annual event has been a particular challenge this year in the wake of the pandemic. The restrictions have been too great a challenge for many car shows causing events to be cancelled, yet despite ever more difficulties, our show committee led by Tom Jameson has kept this event on track.
Our show is still scheduled for Sunday 29th August on the Bank Holiday weekend. There will be a Storrington village evening social event on Saturday the day before on Old Mill Drive, Storrington between 3.30pm -9.00pm so why not make a weekend of it? We are sure that there will be a number of SADCASE members in attendance on Saturday as a warm up for the main event on Sunday!

Although well known established members will no doubt be in attendance at our event on Sunday, the event this year is being organised by a new group of eager SADCASE gearbox members some of whom are heading this event with a fresh vision and enthusiasm.
We have already received many offers of support from members which is appreciated. If you are willing to offer a couple of hours or more on the day or day before on Saturday, then please let Tom know.
He can be contacted by email events@sadcase.co.uk

This is a great event supported and advertised by the Storrington Parish Council in their latest newsletter and eagerly anticipated by local residents. It is traditionally considered our highpoint of the year, being a superb opportunity for SADCASE members to spend the day displaying a unique collection of wonderful polished machinery in a friendly setting. Make sure your vehicle is in place by 10.00am. The focus as in all the past events, weather permitting, will be the machinery on show but look out for the beer tent brimming full with local alcohol, a good selection of food outlets, great music and other interesting stalls.

We have been fortunate in the past having the local Goodwood Racetrack marshals on hand to ensure that the event is run to expected safety standards. Their 2021 motor racing calendar however is crammed with events especially around the August Bank Holiday including the Mini festival being held at the race track on the same day. This may preclude a number of these marshals from attending our show in Storrington, but do not worry as members will be pleased to know that an excellent local experienced alternative has been arranged.

The Storrington SADCASE Show is expensive to put on, with many costs that are irretrievable if the show is cancelled through bad weather as it was a few years ago . Despite this financial burden, it has been decided that for this year these sums will be met in full from club reserves. Unlike other local events there will be no entrance fee for SADCASE members with 100% of any money donated on the day going directly to charity. Although the main purpose of the SADCASE club is to create a good social outlet for its members it has always been a supporter of local good causes and will continue to do so in the future.
