Chris Wood wants to highlight to members the potential permanent closure of Brighton's famous Madeira Drive to vehicles (and therefore the loss of all motoring-related meetings – including the National Speed Trials). Brighton & Hove City Council is being lobbied to change the temporary (COVID-19) vehicle ban to a permanent thing.

There is a full meeting of the council on 22 July, so any concerned members are asked to lobby their local councillors, local MPs, television and radio stations because if they close Madeira Drive for good then that will be the end of all historic motoring events in Brighton.
