Goodwood Marshalling

Spectator marshals required.

Goodwood Festival of Speed

27 , 28 , 29 June 2014

The Festival of Speed is now in its 21st year! It is firmly established as the world’s biggest celebration of the history of motor sport. Nowhere else in the world can you experience such an intoxicating blend of motor sport history and passion which is why the event attracts motor sport fans from across the globe.

The theme of this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed will be:

‘Addicted to Winning – The Unbeatable Champions of Motor Sport’…celebrating the legendary drivers and riders, teams and manufacturers, who have swept all before them in their sport. Once again there will be a fantastic line up of vehicles and drivers including, of course, from F1 and WRC.

Part of the success of this unique event is the role played by the spectator control marshals. Bognor Regis Motor Club provides around 200 volunteer spectator marshals each day of the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Our duties are to monitor and liaise with spectators from the start-line right up to the finish paddock as well as the various paddocks and static areas around the venue.

Don’t worry if you haven’t done this type of event before as you will be with experienced marshals who will be pleased to ‘show you the ropes’.

The days can be quite long but you will be given some free time to relax and enjoy the event. There’s also a marshals’ campsite nearby so you don’t have to commute each day.

If you would like to join us or would like more information please contact :

There is also the opportunity to register your interest for volunteering to undertake a similar job at the Revival meeting from 12-14 September.

We ask that all prospective marshals be at least 18 years of age and of suitable fitness to be on their feet for most of the day. As with all motorsport events, dogs will not be permitted to accompany you.
