SADCASE 'Drive it Day' 2018
This popular annual drive out is once again happening for SADCASE's. Lorraine and Harry Sherrard have written the road book for the Drive it Day on 22 April. From the library car park, to Greatham, Fittleworth, Kirdford, Wisborough Green, Coneyhurst, West Chilt, and finishing at Squires. Slightly longer than last year, 32 miles, and taking about 1 hour 10 minutes. 90% on back roads, with interesting villages & scenery. It is a great route with some challenging sections. There will no doubt be some pot holes to avoid on the back roads but that all adds to the fun!. Participants need to print off and bring their own hard copy of the roadbook (attached) with them. Copies will not be provided by the organisers.
The start point is Storrington library car park, North Street, RH20 4PA.
Please arrive from the High Street, One Stop/Lloyds Pharmacy end, as cars will depart in the other direction.
First car to leave at 10 am, then cars to leave at approximately 1 minute intervals. Ideally, cars will arrive at reasonably dispersed intervals between 10 am and 11 am.
The route is 32 miles, and will take about 1 hour and 10 minutes, at a moderate pace. The end point is Squires Garden Centre on the A24 near the Washington roundabout. We will have our own reserved parking area at Squires. There is a good café at Squires.
