April's Car of the Month- RAM AC Cobra
Hard to imagine its April already and we have an AC Cobra, which many will recall was sold as the Shelby Cobra in the United States, is an Anglo-American sports car with a Ford V8 engine, produced in both the UK and the US since 1962. It was powered by the "side oiler" Ford 427 cu in (7.0 L) FE engine rated at 425 bhp with a top speed of 164 mph. Original cars fetch around £250,000 , the first car built sold for €13.75M. Carroll Shelby was so impressed by the quality and the driving characteristics of the RAM SC, that he officially authorized Realm Engineering to use the terms of "AC Cobra replica personally approved by Carrol Shelby”. The chassis was designed by two renowned F1 and Indy Car designers: David Rendall and Adrian Reynard.
